Mary E. Jesperson (nee Clark), 93, of Zion, IL, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2009, in Gurnee.
Mary was born October 18, 1915, in Swanwick, Perry County, Illinois. She was a member of Grace Missionary Church in Zion, and was formerly employed as a bookkeeper for C & S Motors in Lake Forest, IL. Mary was also a former employee of Bicket & Ingram Bookstore in Zion and B.A.T., also in Zion.
Survivors include her sister, Marguerite I. (James) Maxwell of Gurnee, IL; nephew, Lee Clark of Zion; niece, Susan Clark of Zion, nephews, Fred Maxwell of Gurnee, IL, and John Maxwell of Minnesota; and niece, Laura (Victor) Rosema of Pasadena, CA; step-grandson, Robert Miner; step-granddaughter Robin Miner; sister-in-law, Rhoda Clark of Zion; and step-son-in-law, Tom Miner of Beach Park, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Ethel (nee Bicket) Clark, husband, Harold Jesperson, brother, Alfred Alexander Clark; and a step-daughter, Florence Ann Miner.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, with Pastor Doug Carlson of Grace Missionary Church of Zion, officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 6, 2009, from 7:00-9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
