Mary Mullaney

Mary Mullaney, 72, of Beach Park, IL passed away March 13, 2021 after a brief battle with Pancreatic Cancer at Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion. Mary was born June 14, 1948 in Chicago, IL. She worked for Waukegan Public Schools for many years. Mary was an avid crafter; she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, needlepoint, and basket weaving. When she came across a new craft idea that interested her, she jumped right in adding it to her list of talents. Most recently she enjoyed diamond painting creating a large tiger painting for her husband. Mary decorated her home with the beautiful home crafts she created. She was a social butterfly; she enjoyed going to the movies and sharing dinners with her friends. Mary loved animals, especially cats. She loved gardening, growing bushes, flowers, fruits and vegetables in her yard. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Jon; daughter, Pamela Alanen; and sister, Judith LaBelle. She was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Patricia Murnik. A private gathering for family will be planned for a later date.
