Maynard Richardson

Maynard J. "Rich Richardson, 78, of Zion, died on August 31, 2006. He was born June 14, 1928 in Waukegan and has lived in this area all of his life. He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church of Beach Park. He was employed at Commonwealth Edison, Station 16, retiring in 1985. Rich proudly served his country with the Navy from 1946 until 1949. Additionally, he was an avid golfer and bowler and enjoyed traveling. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Rosemary; children Linda (Dennis) Wesner of Beach Park, Greg Richardson of Park City, Dawn (Keith) Evanson of Beach Park, and Scott (Chris) Richardson of Wadsworth; grandchildren Eric Wesner, Kevin Wesner, Brittney Evanson, Drew Evanson, Terry Richardson, Brandon Antkowiak and Christopher Antkowiak; great-grandchildren Cody and Corrine Wesner; and siblings Shirley Fleming of Gurnee, Norman (Dorothy) Richardson of Gages Lake, Harold (Mary) Richardson of Orland Park, and Georgia (Ned) Alexander of Pleasant Hill, California. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, September 6, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W Wadsworth Road, Beach Park with private interment later at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in Elwood, Illinois. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 6th, from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass at Our Lady of Humility Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to either Society of the Holy Child Jesus, 460 Shadeland Avenue, Dresel Hill, PA 19026-2312, or, Our Lady of Humility Church, have been suggested.
