Melissa Vuckovich

Melissa Marie Vuckovich, 29, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, died on Saturday, September 12, 2009 at home. Melissa was born October 3, 1979 at Great Lakes, Illinois. She graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School through CEDOL. She was always an upbeat and happy child who loved to blow kisses and enjoyed helium balloons. Survivors include her mother and step-father, Alicia and Randy Franks of Winthrop Harbor; her father, Ivan Vuckovich of Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin; siblings, Victor (Kim) Vuckovich and their daughter, Olivia, of Beach Park, and Vincent Vuckovich, Katelyn Franks and Alison Franks all of Winthrop Harbor; her grandmother, Louise Hunter of Winthrop Harbor; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Alice Enright; and her paternal grandfather, Vic Vuckovich. Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 14, 2009, at 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with private cremation to follow. Visitation will be Monday from 5:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
