Michael Thomas Decker

Michael Thomas Decker, 72, of Zion, IL died June 1, 2017 at home.

He was born April 16, 1945 in Waukegan, IL. Michael served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Marine Crops League 801, Zion-Beton American Leagion Post 865, and the Libertyville VFW. Michael was also a board member for Toys for Tots. He enjoyed woodworking and fishing in his free time.

Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Pat Decker; son, Shaun Decker of Chandler AZ; cousins, Theresa Caringella and Dan (Dottie) Whittenberger; and other extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Eleanore Decker.

A visitation will take place Tuesday, June 6, 2017 from 4:30 until 6:30 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL . A funeral service will follow at 6:30 p.m. Final resting place will be at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
