Michael Eugene Taylor (Mike) 61, passed away peacefully from a disease called ALS. Monday, May 30, 2022 at Kenosha Memorial Hospital, in Kenosha, Wisconsin. Mike was born in Trenton, Tennessee on August 10, 1960 to Lem and Blondell Taylor. Mike went to Zion Benton High School, in Zion, Illinois. Mike met May (BB) White in the 80’s. They moved to Kenosha where he was self-employed as a Landscaper. Mike took pride in his business he named Taylor Maintenance. Mike’s passion was cleaning from sunrise to sunset, whether it was outdoors or inside. He loved listening to old school jams while cleaning. After making sure his work was done to perfection he would tune into his favorite shows Stanford &Son, The 3 Stooges, The Flintstones, The Andy Griffin Show, The Jeffersons (many others) while eating pork rinds and drinking 7-up. Mike loved being a grandfather and spending time with his grandchildren. He would take them on bus rides to shop and eat. He cherished his grandchildren. He had a special bond with his 1st and only grandson, Lavon Taylor. These two were inseparable. To honor and cherish his memory, Michael leaves behind his life long patner May White. Two daughters, Latoya Taylor and D’Asia Wallace, son Dicedrick (Bubba) White. Six grandchildren Lavon Taylor, Iyana(Leah) Taylor, Irhianna(Rere) Taylor, Airiana(Chicka) White, Destiny(Des) White and Dicedriane(NaeNae) White. His three sisters Mary Kathryn (Bob) Tyree of Fort Wayne, IN, Judy (Herman) Hearton, of Zion, IL and Sandra Tootle of Jacksonville, NC. Two aunties Minnie Pearl Jurnett of Maury City, TN and Martha Mance of Joliet, IL. His best friend Vick plus many cosuins, nephews and nieces. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, four brothers James Lee Fisher, Sammy Louis Ellington, Jeffrey (Bubba) Taylor and Lem Taylor Jr. and niece LuShunda Hearton. Vistiation will be on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, Illinois 60099. Interment will follow at Mt. Olviet in Zion, Illinois.
