Baker, Nancy 76, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, died on Sunday, November 21, 2010, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.
Nancy was born July 13, 1934, in Waukegan, IL, and was a member of Christ Community Church in Zion. She married Richard "Dick" Baker on April 18, 1953, in Waukegan. She had an abiding love for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Nancy loved to spend time in the "great outdoors" with her late husband, Dick.
Survivors include twin sons, Richard L. (Mary Lynn) Baker of Deer River, MN, and Mick Baker of Waukegan, IL; son, Scott (Peggy) Baker of Winthrop Harbor, IL, twin daughters, Denise Cartwright of Gurnee, IL, and Diane (Allen) Layburn of Park City, IL; nine grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; brothers, Patrick (Pat) Hughes of Wildwood, IL, and Richard (Sue) Hughes of Gurnee, IL; and many nieces and nephews ands other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Dick in 2009; and brother, Marshall Hughes; and parents, Patrick and Dorothy Hughes.
Visitation will be Friday, November 26, 2010 from 6:00-9:00p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home, with Rev. Richard Grudt of Trinity Lutheran Church of Waukegan, officiating. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago
