Nancy Owens

Nancy Owens, of Beach Park, Illinois passed away May 23, 2024 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was born August 25, 1937 in Waukegan, Illinois to parents John and Helen Lindquist.

Nancy previously lived in Waukegan, Illinois before moving to Beach Park, Illinois. She married her husband Jay (Jasper) Owens June 17, 1967. She was a member of the Lord of Glory Lutheran Church in Grayslake, Illinois and worked as a medical transcriptionist at St. Therese Medical Center.

Nancy loved reading, gardening, and crossword puzzles. She especially loved volunteering at church and spending time with her pets, Taffy and Casper. Nancy was a devout Christian that loved the Lord. She was a wonderful cook and hostess who enjoyed entertaining her family and friends.

Nancy is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Owens whom she lived with; son-in-law, Marc Cohen; grandson, Erik Cohen; brother-in-law, Henry Trygar; and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Jay Owens; beloved daughter, Karen Cohen; sister, Lillian Trygar; and parents, John and Helen Lindquist.
