Nancy Wagner

1941 — April 3, 2023

Nancy Wagner, age 82, of Kenosha, WI, went home to be with the Lord on April 3

rd

. She was born in Spooner, WI on February 5

th

, 1941 to Lawrence and Eva Thibedeau. Nancy attended Mary D. Bradford High School before starting her life-long career at Johns Manville where she worked hard manual labor for 39 years.

With her quick wit and quirky sense of humor, any stranger quickly became a friend to Nancy. She always made an unforgettable first impression and made a deep impact on everyone she met. Anyone that knew Nancy was familiar with her stubbornness and her colorful political views that she was willing to share whether they wanted to hear them or not. Nancy was one of the toughest women you’d meet as she always had a smile on her face no matter what she was going through.

Nancy lived for her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and “adopted” grandchildren and each of them were her favorite. She always made sure to attend as many concerts, plays, games and events that she was able in order to show her support. She made sure that each of them knew that she loved them “to Pluto and back”. Although she did not live until she was 130 as she always said she would, her family knows that she will always live within them.

Nancy is preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Wagner, daughter, Aimee Leo and siblings, Celeste Thibedeau, Gary Thibedeau, Arless Taylor, Mona Smith and Darvin Thibedeau.

Nancy is survived by her children, Todd Thibedeau and his wife Teri, her daughter, Keri Upchurch and her husband Kyle, grandchildren, Bianca Hodges (Jonathan), Alannah Upchurch, Braeyah Upchurch, Nathan Thibedeau and Myah Upchurch and great grandchildren, MacKenzie Krawczyk, Noah Becerra, Harper Hodges, Analeigh Hodges, Hutton Hodges and Cooper Hodges as well as her “adopted” grandchildren, Cameron Hall, Colin Hall and Caitlyn Hall.

Per Nancy’s wishes there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Alzheimer’s Foundation in her name to help find a cure.

Nancy’s family would like to express the utmost and heartfelt gratitude for the staff of Casa Del Mar and Aurora Home Health Hospice Care. You are all truly angels and have supported us so much with this transition as well as extended love and true compassion for our Mother, which permitted her dignity and grace through the end. Thank you.
