Nathan Wenzel

Our beloved Nathan Thomas Wenzel, went home to be with the lord on June 27, 2024 at the age of 40, a talented entrepreneur and lifelong resident of Waukegan, IL. 

Nathan was born to parents, Linda and Larry on July 11, 1983. He grew up in Waukegan and graduated from Libertyville High School. Nathan married Angelica in Wisconsin on September 28, 2012, although, they would part ways, they stayed close friends. Nathan was self-employed working in the family business. He was very family and friend oriented. Often spending most of his day helping in the family business, or spending time with his son Aidan "his peanut". He was also looking forward to enjoying a new chapter in his life with his fiancé "Sue Hiedi". Nathan also enjoyed Kung Foo, all kinds of gadgets, & his spirit animal - the wolf.

Nathan is survived by his parents, Linda Wenzel, and Larry Wenzel; Stepmom, Linda Laffredi; Brother, Keith Bohner; Son, Aidan Wenzel; Stepdaughter, Jacqueline Macrowski; Stepson, Matthew Appel; Nephew, Ace Bohner; Grandkids, Bethany, Winter & Summer Wenzel; Fiancé, Sue Hiedi Santiago; Former Wife and Mother of his son, Angelica Wenzel; Grandmother, Luana LaCrosse; Cousins, Christopher “lil Chris” Wenzel, Christopher “Big Chris” Wenzel, Anthony Wenzel, Carlos Renee Esquivel, Jeremy Nordlund, Jason Nordlund, Eric Losh, Josh Wenzel, Bryan Wenzel, Tyler Wenzel, Sarah Jensen Emmett Guzman; Aunts, Sheree Nordlund, Tina Wenzel, Marilyn Wenzel, Cindy Wenzel, Tara Zoetmulder, Sonja Marcham; Uncles, Mark, Scott, Steve, Todd Wenzel, Rod Nordund, Andy Bohner; lots of great nieces, nephews; many extended relatives; and lots of friends, who will miss him dearly.

Nathan is proceeded in death by his grandmother, Else Bohner; grandfather, Andy Bohner; grandfather, George Wenzel; great- grandmother, Doris “Dood” Wenzel; great grandmother, Mayme Mullaney; and brother, Broc Andreas Bohner.

Visitation will be held at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan rd. Zion, IL, 60099 from 9:00 am - 12:30 pm on July 7, 2024. Funeral service to follow directly after at 12:30 pm.
