Nicholas "Nick" Angelopulos, Jr., 66, of Winthrop Harbor, IL died on Friday, December 27, 2013 at his home. He was born June 17, 1947 in Waukegan, IL. Nick served with the United States Navy during the Viet Nam War. He retired from Wonder bread in Waukegan and then went to work at Bass Pro Shop in Gurnee, IL. Survivors include his wife Diane Poore Angelopulos; children Christopher G. (Karla) Angelopulos of Bridgewater, VA, Jonathan C. (Toby) Angelopulos of Fortville, IN, and Jason N. Angelopulos of Winthrop Harbor, IL; grandchildren Orion, Bailee, Inakai, Kaelan, Briahna, Logan and Jace Angelopulos, and Danielle and Jessica Cole; and his father Nicholas Angelopulos Sr. of Vernon Hills, IL. His is also survived by his sister Connie (Dave Williams) Blackford; one nephew Jim Blackford; and two nieces Lori Beth Serokusek and Dawn Miller. He was preceded in death by his mother Laura Angelopulos; mother-in-law Betty Mitchell Poore; father-in-law Clyde T. Poore; and brother-in-law Randy Poore. Visitation will be Monday, December 30, 2013, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, followed by a funeral service at 8:00 p.m.
