Norma Evelyn Krahl

Norma Evelyn Farrington Krahl, 91, of Beach Park, IL and formerly of Syracuse, NY died Sunday, October 9, 2016 at ManorCare Health Services of Northbrook in Northbrook, IL. Norma was born January 27, 1925 in Syracuse, NY. She attended Crouse Irving School of Nursing in Syracuse. She worked as a surgical nurse at St. Anne’s Hospital in Chicago until she retired. Norma is a member of Foresters and Crouse Irving School of Nursing Alumni Association. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, gardening and baking. Survivors include her children, Lance (Maureen) Krahl, Judy (the late Joseph) Passero, Teresa (David) McEwen, Donald (Gloria) Krahl, and Barbara (George) Toecker; grandchildren, Sheila, Sean, Brendan, Daniel, Martin, Bridget, Christopher, Angela, David, Kara, Austin, and Nicholas; great-granddaughter, Tessa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Nora Farrington; and siblings, Ruth Lyons, Mary Monell, Homer Farrington, Arthur Farrington, Janet Murdock, and Blanche Marnell. Services will be private for the family with a private interment at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
