Norman F. "Norm" Ergish, age 94 of Kenosha, WI, and formally of Zion, IL, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2013, at home.
Norm was born December 25, 1918 in Kenosha, WI, and married Jennette Thompson on February 17, 1945, in Chicago. He retired from the Federal Government after 28 years of service (mostly working at Ft. Sheridan) as a Supervisor in Plumbing and Heating. After retirement he worked for Olson Oil for about 6 years. Norm was a veteran of the United States Army. His favorite hobby was golfing and he loved to Square Dance with his wife.
Survivors include his loving wife of 67 years, Jennette; sons, Michael (LaDonna) Ergish of Gurnee, IL, and Timothy (Lisa) Ergish of Greenfield, IA, grandchildren, Michael, Brandon, Phillip, Tyler, Lindsey, Miranda, and Ronnie; ten great-grandchildren; brother, Leo "Red" (Jayne) Ergish of TX; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Ergish; sister, Margaret "June" Ruhle; great-grandson, Isaac; and his parents, Leo and Clara Ergish.
A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Oivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Lung Association or Alliance Hospice of Kenosha. The family would like to thank Dr. Bloom, Dr. Jaranek, and Dr. Milosevic for their attentive care of Norm.
