Patricia "Pat" Higgins, (nee Conway) 84 years young, of Zion, passed away on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at home, surrounded by her loving family. Patricia was born in Lake Forest, IL, on February 17, 1927, and lived there with her loving cousins throughout most of her young life. She went on to marry Ralph S. Higgins on April 21, 1946 and together they created a large family of 10 children. She later made her home in Zion, IL where she lovingly raised eight of her children on her own. Patricia was to say the least and avid CHICAGO CUBS & GREENBAY PACKER FAN her entire life. Surviving Patricia are children, Patrick Higgins of Kenosha, Marybeth Nelson, John and Jeff Higgins of Zion, Carla Rossmann of Beach Park, Micki Higgins of Winthrop Harbor, and Linda Biondi of Lake Forest. Patricia loved her beautiful grandchildren dearly, Nick, Lani, Mandy, Becky, Katy, Jacey, Emily, Anna, Jordan, Christy, Laura, Dan, Mike, Elizabeth, and Kathleen. She was also blessed to see 4 great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jaxson, Logan, and Grant. Patricia is also survived by loving cousins, John and Miles Conway, Mary Carroll Connell, Catherine Gordon, Tommy Douglas, Jimmy Carlsen, Colette McKerr, and Jimmy Cleary; and she was loved and adored by many other family members and friends. She is preceded in death by her father, Caroll Joseph Conway; mother, Nan O'Neill; son, Mark Higgins; daughters, Julie Lacy and Kay-Cee Greve; her beloved aunt, Mary Conway who played such a major role in her life; and her son-in-law, Timm Rossmann Jr. Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation will be Monday, November 28, 2011 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL.
