Patricia Macki

Patricia (Pat) Macki, 85, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois passed away August 1, 2024 peacefully in her sleep at her home. She was born July 14, 1939, in Waukegan, Illinois and graduated from Waukegan High School. On May 17, 1957, she married Eugene.

Pat worked as a library assistant at Spring Bluff Elementary before moving to the Zion Park District, where she worked for many years and greatly enjoyed running the preschool and Mommy-and-me programs. After retiring, Pat and Eugene enjoyed time at their winter home in St. George, Utah where they made many close friends. Pat enjoyed golfing, water aerobics with friends, watching the ducks, traveling, reading, crocheting, and being a loving grandma.

Pat is survived by her children, Timothy Macki, Michael (Michelle) Macki, and Mark (Becky) Macki; brother, James (Diane) Bousson; grandchildren, Dina (Chris) Button, Steven (Heather) O’Brien, Max Macki, Tim (Michelle) Macki, Cody (Jordann) O’Brien, Alyssa (Ryan) Coutts, Zack (Tiffany Larson) Macki, Ali (Kaileb) O’Connor, Mandy Macki; 12 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Eugene; daughter, Donna O’Brien; brother, Rob Bousson; sister-in-law, Karen Bousson; and parents, Robert Bousson and Jessie Black.

No public visitation or service will be held. The family will hold a private memorial in remembrance of Pat.
