Pearl Miller

1931 — April 24, 2009

Pearl W. Miller, nee Stried, 77, of Zion, IL, died peacefully at home with her special care giver and son, Kevin Ricard at her side along with other family members, on Friday, April 24, 2009. Pearl was born August 6, 1931, in Waukegan, and was formerly employed as a nurse's aid at numerous Lake County facilities and in home healthcare. She had clairvoyant and psychic abilities and used these gifts to help many people, including police agencies. Pearl was a former member of the Zion Women of the Moose #667. She was a generous, compassionate person and was willing to help anybody. Survivors include eight children, Diane Hansen of MO, Rose (William) Barnes of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Debra Rogers of AL, Kevin (Bonnie) Ricard of Zion, Arthur Miller Jr. of Zion, Lisa (Dennis) Noble of FL, Lori Miller of OH, and Danny (Missy) Miller of TX; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, Barbara Ricard and Cassie and Marceil Stried; a special niece whom thought of as a a sister, Jeannie; and numerous nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Ricard; second husband, Arthur G. Miller; brothers, Chuck, Roy, Clarence JR., Vern, Howard, and Jack Stried, sister, Beulah Swanson; brother-in-law, Cliff Swanson, and father and mother, Clarence and Beulah Stried. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Thursday, April 30, 2009, from 6:00-9:00 pm. at the funeral home. The family would like to thank O&P Healthcare of Skokie, Cancer Treatment Centers of America, and her Palliative Care nurse for their help in Pearl's final years.
