Pedro Enrique Rivera

God opened up the heavens just for his son Pedro Enrique Rivera on March 26, 2015. He was the second oldest child of Eugenio and Carolina Rivera. He was born December 30, 1976. He deeply loved his wife Danielle Joy Rivera. The love they shared was and is recognized as powerful and strong by all who love them. His six sons cherish his sense of humor, youthful spirit and unconditional love. His legacy will always be carried on by his 6 sons as true wealth, Jose Rivera, Anthony Rivera, Alex Rivera, Ryan Rivera, Joseph Rivera and infant son Jaxon Rivera. Beloved grandson of Bernardino and Frances Perez of Edcouch, TX. Reunited with his mother, Carolina Rivera. Pedro honored his father-in-law, Wayne Mattonen and mother-in-law, Judy Mattonen with love and respect. He is missed by his siblings Hilda (Tom) Moser, Gabriel (Christina) Rivera and Angela Rivera. Always the jokester, his unique personality, friendship and teasing made him a true original. He welcomed his sister-in-law, Melissa Mattonen and brother-in-law, Jordan Mattonen, with an open heart as his own siblings. He was a mediator, listener, advisor, easy going and fun. He is forever irreplaceable in our hearts. He was loved and respected by staff and residents alike in the homes he worked in at Ann Kiley Center. His generous nature extended wherever there was a need. Pedro loved his nieces and nephews as treasures whether as a guide or laughs, they will not forget Tio Pedro. Gabriel, Kayla, Aliyah, Jada, Natalya and Carter will never question Tio Pedro’s devotion. Enjoy heaven, we know with you it’s a never ending celebration of laughter. Loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and family everywhere. Unforgettable. Tender. Real. Until we see him again enjoy the loved ones who went before you. Rest well, sweet soul. A visitation will be held Tuesday, March 31, 2015 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A funeral will be held Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be private for the family.
