Peter Gerjol

Peter A. Gerjol, 65, of North Chicago, Illinois passed away September 7, 2024, at Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, IL. Peter was born December 19, 1958, in Waukegan, IL.

Peter was a member of Mother of God Church in North Chicago. He was a heavy equipment operator for many years. He was a Member of the Midwest Operating Engineers #150 and Kranjsko slovenska katoliška jednota (Carniolan Slovene Catholic Union) (KSKJ). Peter was an avid bowler, hunter and fisherman. He loved gardening but especially loved his dogs, Cookie, Mandy and Holly.

He is survived by his brothers, Edward (Cindy) Gerjol, Jr, and Greg (Anita) Gerjol; nephew, Joseph Gerjol; niece, Monica Gerjol; great niece, Laila Ochoa and great nephew, Owen Ochoa, and many lifelong friends.

Peter is preceded in death by his parents, Edward Sr. and Lucielle Gerjol; sister, Patricia Gerjol; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate Peter’s life on Sunday September 29, at 2 pm at Zion Benton Moose Lodge, 41517 N Sheridan Road, Zion IL 60099.
