Randy J. Peters

Randy J. Peters, 62 of Beach Park, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 at his home.

He was born on October 6, 1961 to James Peters and JoAnn Melcher. 

Randy was a longtime resident of the Winthrop Harbor-Zion-Beach Park area. He was the proud owner of RJP Roofing and Remodeling.Randy is survived by his parents James Peters and JoAnn Melcher. Leaving a legacy through his daughter Cierra G.M. Peters, his step-son Benjamin (Anastacia) Maio, and his former wife, Jennifer (Vic) Smith. He leaves behind 3 sisters; Annette (Dennis) Cronin, Nicole (Rich) Dolan, and Kaitlin (Justin) Teftt, and his brother Jason (Danielle) Peters along with his step-sister Bonnie Elsbury, and step-brother Jack (Debbie) Melcher, and several nieces and nephews. Randy also had many beloved cousins and long-standing friendships, including Gary Cagle and Mick Ill.

Randy is preceded in death by his step-father Jack Melcher and first wife Shirley Sutton. 

In remembrance, a gathering will take place from 1:00-4:00 on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at Van Patten Woods Shelter B, Route 173, Wadsworth, IL.
