Raymond Kirkley

Raymond Paul Kirkley, 80, of Beach Park, IL, passed away peacefully on March 20, 2021. Raymond was born February 17, 1941 in Fayette, Alabama to Raymond and Berti Kirkley. He married Alyce Martiniez on March 24, 1997 in Alabama. Raymond retired from the Vernon Hills School District and was involved in building the original rides at Six Flags Great America. Back in the day his nickname was Tall Paul, he loved to fish and shoot his guns. Raymond cherished his family. He is survived by his sister, Lou Cook; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Alyce Kirkley; parents; sisters, Fay Betancour, Waynell Angeloff, Coy Blomeyer, Ruth Simpson, and Dorothy Gilliam; and a brother, David Kirkley. As per Raymond’s wishes, there will be no services.
