Rena M. Will, 97, of Morton, IL, formerly of Zion, IL, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 6, 2008, at home, with her family by her side. Rena was born on April 24, 1911, in Zion, to Alfred and Louvinia (nee Hamby) Bryant. She married Robert P. Will on February 20, 1932 in Zion.
Rena is survived by eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter. She wanted to be remembered as a loving wife of 53 years, a devoted mother, and a fond grandmother. Rena cared deeply about them all, and constantly regaled them with stories of her life.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Will on July 25, 1985, in Melbourne, FL; two sons, Frederick Scott Will and Robert P. Will Jr.; and one brother and one sister.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, October 13, 2008, at 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, with Pastor Les Martin of Lakeview Church of Zion, officiating. Private entombment will be Tuesday, at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Monday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
