Rev. Dr. David James Mulvihill, KCHS, 67, died on Sunday, December 28, 2014, at Lutheran General Hospital. He was born November 7, 1946 in Chicago. Rev. David Mulvihill was the Pastor Emeritus of Our Lady of Humility Parish in Beach Park, IL. He has two Doctorates, one from the Gregorian University in Rome and another doctorate from Oxford. He served the Archdiocese of Chicago for more than 40 years. David was an active member of the Rotary Club of Zion, and he was the recipient of the Golden Medal of the Club. He was confirmed by the Holy Father as Commander of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem. He was the loving son of the late Harry and Marie (nee Ryska), beloved brother of Rev. Dr. John Edward Mulvihill, Harry (Catherine) Mulvihill, dear uncle of John (Jennifer), David (Karen) Mulvihill, and Kelly Ann (Jay) Lovett; fond grand-uncle of Jacob, John David, Lauren, Kailen Mulvihill, and Braxton Lovett. Visitation at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, IL on Wednesday, December 31st, from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday, January 1st, from 10:30 a.m. until Mass of the Resurrection at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will be private at All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines, IL. In lieu of flowers donations to the Priests Retirement and Mutual Aid Association (PRMAA), 4951 Harrison St., Hillside, IL 60162.
