Robert E. Clark, 66, of Waukegan and Lake Forest, died on Thursday, July 23, 2009 at Westmoreland Nursing Home in Lake Forest, Illinois.
Robert was born November 3, 1942 in Waukegan. He served his country with the United States Army from 1965 to 1967. Robert was a member of St. Anastasia Church of Waukegan. He retired from U.S. Gypsum after 25 years and later worked for the Chicago Convention and Tourism Bureau. He enjoyed traveling, reading a good book and watching a sunset in Door County. His travels took him to New Orleans, California, Florida, Hawaii, the Bahamas and Europe. He will travel to his final resting place where we will all meet again. He will be missed by many and will always be in our hearts.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Lucille; a niece who was like a daughter, Karen (Robert) Serkowski of Libertyville; siblings, Frank (Ann) Clark of Dallas, Texas, Sue (Karl) Miklas of Germantown, Tennessee and Karen Clark of Tucson, Arizona; in-laws, Andrew Hebior of Waukegan, Theresa Zdanowicz of Waukegan, Eugene (Patricia) Hebior of Waukegan, Daniel Hebior of Houston, Texas and Donna Hebior of Kenosha, Wisconsin; and many nieces and nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Clark; his mother, Mildred Lorts; his step-father, Roy Lorts; and one brother, John.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anastasia Catholic Church, 624 Douglas Avenue, Waukegan, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Church on Wednesday.
