Robert Emmerth

Robert W. " Bob" Emmerth,79, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, died on January 8, 2008, at home. Bob was born November 6, 1928, in Wheeling, West Virginia, and married Jenny "Kassy" Carson on October 25, 1957. He was a Korean War veteran and a retiree from the United States Navy. Bob was also retired from the Lakehurst Mall in Waukegan, where he was employed as the Chief Maintenance Director. He also was past president of the National Association of Plant Engineers, and was a member of the Fleet Reserve Association and the American Legion. Bob was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Jennie "Kassy" Emmerth; daughters, Paula and Teresa Emmerth, both of Round Lake Beach, IL; grandson, David Guillory of Milwaukee, WI; sister, Marcella (Nick) Conti of Wheeling, West Virginia; and numerous nephews and nieces and cousins.. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan Emmerth Myers; and sister, Mary Wiggins. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 14, 2008, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Raphael the Archangel Church, 2101 E. Route 171, Antioch. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion Visitation will be Sunday, January 13, 2008, from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Raphael the Archangel Church are suggested.
