Reverend Roger G. Johnson 70 years old died in Gilbert, Arizona. On April, 4 2007 at 10:05 am. He was born in Zion, Illinois. He Attended Zion Benton High School. He was employed as a Journeyman Millwright at Johnson Outboard Marine Corp. in Waukegan, Illinois for a number of years. In 1980 moved to Tucson, Arizona. Where he lived for 20 years. He then moved to Deming, New Mexico. When he met his companion, Vivyenne Reed. His father, Thomas S. Johnson and mother, Josephine B. Johnson/Philyaw of Zion, Ill. Also a brother, Arthur T. Johnson of East Covina, CA preceded him in death. Surviving brother Charles W. Johnson of Zion, Ill; his three children, Jeffrey M. Johnson, Patrick W. Johnson &Sandra L. Mauldin/Johnson of Gilbert, Az. Also surviving is a grandson, Jerry E, Mauldin III; and granddaughter, Sarah M. Greess also of Gilbert, Az. Reverend Roger G. Johnson was ordained in October of 1997. Interment will be Monday April 9, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL.. His epither reads as follows: STOP MY FRIEND AS YOU GO BY, AS YOU ARE NOW, SO ONCE WAS I. AS I AM NOW, YOU SOON WILL BE, SO PREPARE YOURSELF TO FOLLOW ME. TRUST IN HIM, AND BE CONTENT, FOR IT IS TO GOD, THAT I WENT. Roger suffered two Heart Attacks in 1990 and retired at that time. Later in 2007 Roger had suffered a Heart Attack along with a Stroke, which caused him to moved back to Gilbert, Arizona. To be with his children, where he lived with and was cared for by them, until the moment of his last breath, when he passed on April 04, 2007 Dad, May You Now Rest, In Eternal Peace We Love You Always, Will See You Soon.
