Roger Shoumake

Roger Shane Shoumake,66, passed away at his home on June 21, 2024. He was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on March 13, 1958. Roger was a graduate of North Chicago Community High School, and worked as a Master Electrician by trade.

Throughout his journey, Roger was known for being devoted to his parents and family. As a faithful Christian, Roger always found ways to give back to his community, demonstrating kindness and compassion in all that he did. Roger found joy in various hobbies and interests. He had a passion for playing the bass, fishing in the great outdoors, and cherished memories of being a pitcher during his younger years. Among his proudest accomplishments were his roles as a Grand Mason and involvement with the Freemasons.

Roger is preceded in death by his loving parents, Father Sidney Shoumake and Mother Margaret (Minehart) Shoumake.

He is survived by his brothers, Kenneth (Marilyn) Shoumake, Rowdy (Holly) Shoumake, Ricky Shoumake;nephews, Zachary Shoumake, Russell Shoumake, Richard Shoumake, Tyler Shoumake; nieces, Rachel Shoumake, and Ashley Shoumake; numerous aunts, cousins, great- nieces, and great-nephews.
