Ronald E. Kastamo

Ronald E. "Ron" Kastamo, 79, of Kenosha, WI, and formerly of Zion, IL, passed away on December 31, 2014, at Aurora Medical Center, Kenosha, WI. Ron was born February 18, 1935, in Zion and graduated from Zion-Benton Township High in 1953. He married Jean Marjamaa on August 29, 1953, in Calumet, MI. Ron retired from Johnson Motors after 30 years of employment and also worked for the Waukegan Park District for 8 years. He loved to collect toys and his family and friends knew him as "Mr. Toy". Ron was a loving family man. Survivors include his wife of 61years, Jean; children, Duane (Debra) Kastamo of Pleasant Prairie, WI, Larry (Karen) Kastamo of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Judy (Jim) Torola of Richland Center, WI; and Donna Kastamo of Wadsworth, IL; 21 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Barbara) Kastamo of Calumet, MI; sister, Betty (Paul) Jackola of Pleasant Prairie, WI; brother, Raymond Kastamo of Brighton MI; and sister, Jean (Arch) Linna of Beach Park, IL. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and other family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Sylvia Kastamo. Funeral services are private for the family.
