Ronald Thomas Kytasaari

A memorial service for Ronald Thomas Kytasaari, age 73 of Waukegan, Illinois will be held at 5:00 PM Saturday, October 1st, 2016 at Congdon Funeral Home in Zion, 3012 Sheridan Rd., IL. Visitation will be from 2:00-6:00 PM that same day. Ronald Thomas Kytasaari was born on September 25, 1942 in Ishpeming, MI son of William John and Isabelle Anne (Bellmore) Kytosaari. He passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 24, 2016 from cancer. He was a Waukegan area resident since moving to there from Michigan in 1959. He was employed for 45+ years at Dexter’s Midland Division (now Akzo Nobel) in Waukegan as a worker, then their Traffic Manager, and finally the Warehouse Manager. He was married to Carol Ann Mazrin on May 11, 1963 in Waukegan where they raised their family. In later years he was a longtime member of AA where he gave back to the program by helping many people get the support they needed. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother William Jon Kytosaari and sisters Elaine Esther Glavich, Sharon Kytosaari, and Suzanne Kytosaari. He is survived by his wife Carol Kytasaari of Waukegan, IL, son Dennis Kytasaari of Itasca, IL, daughterJudith (Ed) Sullivan and grandsons Sean and Brian Sullivan of Wauconda, IL. Brother Lawrence (Louise) Kytasaari of Gwinn, MI; sisters Connie (Leon) Porter of Mountain View, MO; Patricia (Paul) Makela of Gwinn, MI; Cynthia (Earl) Caswell of Toledo, OH and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society or the charity of your choice.
