Ronald R. Lepisto, 78, of Waukegan, died on Tuesday, June 19, 2007 at Pavilion of Waukegan.
Ronald was born October 2, 1928 in Mohawk, Michigan and moved to Waukegan in 1947 where he was a long time member of St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church. He retired in 1989 from City of Waukegan street department. Ron served his country with the United States Army, recieving an honorable discharge on June 25, 1948. He was also a member of Loyal Order of Moose of Waukegan and he enjoyed camping.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Helen; children Dianne (William) Vega of Tonica, Illinois, Bonnie Lepisto of Waukegan and Brenda (Gary) Eberhardt of Antioch, Illinois; four grandchildren Regina (John) of Park City, James (Calandra) of Waukegan, Erick (Jamie) of Fox Lake, and Davin; four great-grandchildren Erin, Johnny, Abby and Baby Lily (soon to arrive); siblings Jack (Nancy) Lepisto of Boynton Beach, Florida, Barbara Ashworth of Champion, Michigan, Nancie (Donald) Mattson of Boynton Beach and Earl (Phyllis) Lepisto Sr. of Waukegan, Illinois; cousins, nieces, nephews, and many other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 3350 North Delany Road, Waukegan, Pastor Jeffrey Koth officiating. Visitations will be held on Friday, June 22nd, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, and again on Saturday morning from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran Church have been suggested.
