We remember Ronald Joseph Schluter, age 82, of Grayslake, Illinois, whose spirit departed from us on Wednesday, December 5, 2024, after a long illness. Ronald was born on June 26,1942 in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Lillian and George Schluter.
Ron was a dedicated and respected Territorial Manager in the HVAC industry. working for Temperature Equipment Corp for the last 35 years of his career before retiring over a decade ago. He lived life to the fullest spending countless weekends boating and jet skiing on Lake Michigan with his wife, Lynda, where they created memories to last a lifetime. Ron was an avid car enthusiast, owning a long line of Corvettes that brought him so much joy. As members of the Chicagoland North Corvette Club, Ron and Lynda made lifelong friends. Winters were spent in Fort Myers, Florida, where they enjoyed a great community of neighbors and welcomed guests from the north.
A man of faith and curiosity, Ron loved his family and God. When he and Lynda traveled to Israel, an experience that profoundly impacted them both, Ron prepared for the trip by studying the Bible and taking an online course, which enriched the journey and deepened his spiritual connection.
