Rosemary Kegley

Rosemary Louise Kegley (nee Miller), 79, of Zion, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 22, 2009, at home with her family by her side. Rosemary was born April 25, 1930, in Forest Lake, MN, and spent most of her life in Lake County, IL. She married Charles B. Kegley Sr. in October of 1958 and they spent 51 years together. Rosemary was employed by the federal government and after retirement she and Charles traveled to every state in the U.S. She had a wonderful heart and was loved by all who knew her. Rosemary was a kind, gentle, and generous wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her husband, Charles Kegley Sr.; children, Christine Gann of Waukegan, April O'Brien of Las Vegas, NV, Charlotte (Robert) Johnson of Waukegan, IL, Daniel (Rebecca) Kegley of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Robert Kegley of Dixon, IL, Diane Leech of Carbondale, IL, and Michael D. (Pamela) Kegley of Menomonee, WI; brother, Wesley (Yuni) Lambert of Tomah, WI; daughter-in-law, Joyce Truster; 25 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. S he was preceded in death by her mother, Lucille Lambert; step-father, William Lambert; beloved children, Joann Prentice (nee Morales,) and Charles Kegley Jr.; and brother, George "Jerry"Lambert A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, August 27, 2009, at 1:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL, with Pastor Dennis Corley of NorthPoint Community Church of Winthrop Harbor, officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. The family would like to thank Seasons Hospice and Helia Healthcare for all their care and support. Memorial donations are suggested to the NorthPoint Church Food Pantry or to Alzheimer's Research.
