Roy R. Rutledge

Roy R. Rutledge, 58, of Zion, IL died on March 21, 2016 at his home. He was born November 16, 1957 in Berwyn, IL and moved to Zion in 1963. He retired from Tippet, Inc. of Waukegan after working there for 25 years. Roy was a member of Community Christian Church of Waukegan and he served as night watchman for PADS at the church for many years. Roy was an avid reader and a history buff. He is survived by one brother Randy of Zion. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Clayton and Carol Rutledge and by one brother Ray Rutledge. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 19, 2017, from 6:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Tim Knight officiating. Private interment for the family will be held later at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion. Memorial contributions to Community Christian Church Food Pantry have been suggested.
