Ruble Roberts

Ruble "Randy" Age 83, of Zion, IL died on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan. He was born February 22, 1928 in Biloxi, Mississippi and settled in this area in 1950 following honorable discharge at Ft. Sheridan after serving with the Army-Air Force during World War II. He retired from Anchor Hocking and had worked for Johns-Manville before that. His real love centered around music and his band, "Randy and the Rebelheirs" which played in various places around Lake County. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Nancy; children, Eddy Ray (Diane) Roberts of Ripon, WI, Randy Ray (Debbie) Roberts of Zion, IL, Tony (Wanda) Cruz of Pensacola, FL, and Lynn (Larry) Collins of Zion, IL; and numerous grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Cindy Mae Roberts and Cathy Ann Roberts. Interment will be Friday, May 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park, IL followed immediately by a memorial gathering from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. at Zion Senior Cottages Club House, 1005 Prestwick, Zion, IL
