Sandra Mae Drennen (Bogdala), of Kenosha, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025 at Aurora Medical Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin- surrounded by her loving family.
Sandra was born on April 3, 1946 in Waukegan, Illinois to parents Frank and Emma Bogdala. She spent the majority of her lifetime in Waukegan where she resided for over 60 years. Sandra attended and graduated from Waukegan High School. Shortly after graduating she met and married Ronald Drennen. Sandra worked and retired from the YMCA in Waukegan and was an active member of St. Anastasia Catholic Church for many years.
In Sandra’s eyes, family was everything. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She found so much joy in seeing her great-grandchildren grow and thrive.
In her free time she loved listening to oldies music- especially Elvis and Rod Stewart. She also enjoyed baking with her great-grandchildren, watching classic movies, and talking on the phone with family and friends.
As a grandmother, she was the heart of our family, always offering unconditional love, wisdom, and support. She was known for her infectious laughter, quick wit, and endless stories. She brought joy to every room she entered. After retiring, she dedicated her life to her grandchildren whom she loved more than anything. Her legacy of love, kindness, and joy will live on in the hearts of those she touched and the memories they made together.
Grandma, we will miss your jokes, your laughter, and endless love. Rest in peace, you will forever be our funny, loving, and unforgettable grandma.
Sandra leaves behind her daughter, Heidi Drennen; grandchildren, Alexis Drennen, Angelica (Jake) Dutter, Joe Casey, and Chloe Casey; great-grandchildren, Aubree, Addisyn, and Rhett Dutter; many nieces and nephews; as well as many friends who will miss her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ron Drennen; daughter, Candice Casey; parents, Frank and Emma Bogdala; brothers, Roger Bogdala, Hank Bogdala, Frank Bogdala Jr., and Richard Bogdala; and sisters, Delores Eveline and Shirley Lopez.
