Scott Kenneth Bjorkman

1975 — December 11, 2022

Scott Kenneth Bjorkman passed away December 11, 2022 in Zion, Illinois. He was born August 14, 1975 in Waukegan, Illinois to Michelle and Jeffery Bjorkman.

Scott grew up at Calvary Temple in Waukegan, then Christian Life Fellowship into teens. Scott worked at Amazon, and he was a surveyor with his Uncle Mike since he was a teenager. He was also involved with a group of gas powered bicycle friends.

Scott was a very gentle, patient person. He was soft with a huge heart and loved animals, especially dogs. He was always willing to take a puppy from our dog litters. He would cuddle up with the puppies while watching tv. Even as a little boy Scott had a love for animals. His Great Dane, Boromir, was the light of his life. Not being married, Boromir was like a child to him. His whole life was wrapped up in caring for him.

Scotts red Honda was a prize possession of his. His Grandmother helped him pay it off and he wouldn’t think of selling it on account of her.  Scott also loved sports, especially the Bears. He and his dad would sit every weekend and watch football, it was their special time together.

As a boy, Scott loved reading Garfield comic books and into adulthood developed a love of reading books such as Lord of the Rings as well as reading and writing poetry. As a big fan of music, Scott’s music tastes were diverse, ranging from Classic Rock, Classical, Instrumental pieces from movies, Gospel, and Blues. He even enjoyed a good musical every once in a while.

Scott loved camping and making fires. Sitting around a fire at night with friends, family and Boromir was a highlight of enjoyment for him. He did like fishing trips with his uncles and cousins too. He loved to laugh.  He had a great sense of humor. Scotts family and friends meant so much to him and spending time with them was something he made sure he did often.  He had a heart of gold. Gentle, kind and soft with all. His actions were never heavy handed and he had a touch of gentleness with everyone.

People always told his mother Michelle that Scott was one of the most polite men they knew, respectful and accepting of others. He cared so much for others and had a huge heart for helping in all the situations God put in him. Scott was so strong that everyone knew if they asked Scott for help, he’d be the one to be there to lend a hand. This special, gentle loving man, beloved son and brother will be missed by all who knew him.
