Sheryl Lorraine Scrivener, 60, of Waukegan, died on Saturday, February 16, 2008, at home.
Sheryl was born on June 16, 1947 in Wilmington, Delaware, and moved to Waukegan in 1986 from Guam with her husband Frank who was serving with the U.S. Navy. She married Frank Scrivener Jr. on October 22, 1966, in Annapolis, Maryland. Sheryl was a graduate of Washburn University in Topeka, KS, and also herself served in the U.S. Navy. She was employed as a licensed clinical social worker for Kansas State Prison, Central Baptist Family Services in Lake Villa, IL, and the Southeast Wisconsin Aids Project in Kenosha, WI; as an administrative assistant for MMI Insurance and St. Paul Insurance Companies, both located in Deerfield, Il; and as a financial analyst for Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, IL. Sheryl enjoyed cooking, sewing, photography and traveling.
Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Frank Scrivener Jr.; children, Frank (Kate) Scrivener III of Alexandria, VA, and Elizabeth (Gary II) Brandt of Fredericksburg, VA; grandchildren, John Scrivener, Mark Scrivener, Michael Scrivener, Gary Brandt III, and Nicholas and Emily Brandt.; father and mother, Mitchell and Mary Pierson of Ocean View, Delaware; sister, Michelle Poore of Newark, Delaware; brother, Mitchell Pierson III of Ocean View, Delaware ; and a niece, Audrey Pierson of Ocean View, Delaware.
