Shirley S. Hall, 79, of Kenosha, WI died September 9, 2014 at Kenosha Estates Nursing Home in Kenosha.
Shirley was born September 18, 1934 in Wardell, MO, but grew up in Winthrop Harbor, IL. She was a hard worker and often had 3 jobs at a time to support her family and retired from Chrysler Motors in 2000. Shirley loved country music, especially George Jones. She liked to play her luck at casinos, and even named her beloved poodle "Lucky." She enjoyed people's company so much that she became a bartender so she could be around people. Shirley loved holidays mostly because of the get-togethers with family and friends. She also enjoyed embroidering tablecloths for her sisters. She was a caring person who would do anything for anyone.
She is survived by her children, Timothy (Cheryl) Hall of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Susan (Bernie) Talley of Nashville, TN, and Robin Green of Beach Park, IL; 8 grandchildren, Timothy (Michelle) Hall Jr., Tanya (David) Gilbert, A.J. (Fiancé Melissa Kreuzer and daughter Greta) Flores, Jennifer (Jon) Plocinski, Anna (Kevin) Voelz, Amanda, Emily and Abby Green; 12 great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Christian, Rebecca, Ayden, Kolton, Madden, Matthew, Gabbie, Zoey, Dorseya, Myla, and Finley; sisters, Patricia Chamblee, Anita Moses, Johnnie Epperson, and Judy Tate; brothers-in-law, James Farmer and John Moses.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dowell and Gertrude Kelley; sisters, Virginia Springer, Margaret Chamblee, Vivian Farmer; and brothers-in-law, Charles Chamblee, Jim Chamblee, Clyde Springer, and Randy Epperson.
Visitation will be held Sunday, September 14, 2014 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A funeral service will be held Monday, September 15, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
