Stephanie Debevec, 87, of Waukegan, died on Friday, August 31, 2007 at Arbor View Nursing Home in Zion. She was born October 5, 1919 to John and Mary Skuble in Barberton, Ohio and has lived in Waukegan most of her life. Stephanie enjoyed bowling and belonged to Sunset Business Girls League at Sunset Lanes in Waukegan. She also loved her cats. Survivors include her children Tony (Kathy) Debevec of Maricopa, Arizona and Howard (Carla) Debevec, Bob (Diane Florio) Debevec and Debbie (Jimmy Erickson) Debevec all of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois; eleven grandchildren DeAnne (Jimmy) Sanchez of Waukegan, Lisa (Ross) Minneci of Grayslake, Kristin (Patrick) Conway of Phoenix, Arizona, Toni Handyside of Palatine, Scott (Lori) Debevec of Antioch, Christopher (Lisa) Debevec of Gurnee, Nicole Debevec of Kenosha and Kellie (Mike) Young and Kristie Debevec both of California; and fourteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony; one son John; her sister Mitzi Mivshek; her brother Frank Skuble; and her parents. A cemetery graveside service will be held on Tuesday, September 4, 2007, at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha Road, Zion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to your favorite charity has been suggested. CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, Zion, serving the family.
