Susie A. January

Susie A. January, 82, of Zion, IL departed this earthly life quietly at her home. She was born on July 19, 1933 in Vicksburg, Mississippi. She leaves to cherish her memories one daughter, Gwendolyn Sanders; 3 granddaughters, Courtney Curry, Clarissa Turnipseed, and Chloé (Lamont) Simpson; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers; a dedicated care-taker Hester Abbott and a host of family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin January; daughter, Lisa January; a sister; and a great-granddaughter. A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 13, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will be private for the family.
