Tamiko Collop

Tamiko Collop, 75, of Zion, IL passed away peacefully on February 19, 2025 at City of Hope in Zion, IL surrounded by her family.

Tamiko was born on June 1, 1949 in Yokosuka, Japan, she married John Collop on September 30, 1976 in Tokyo, Japan. They then started their life together living in Yokosuka, Japan. While John was serving in the US Navy they lived in Yokosuka, Japan, Seattle, WA. And Zion, IL. When you visited their house, she always made sure you were comfortable and had something to eat and drink. She was an extraordinary home maker, taking care of her husband, family, friends, and close neighbors. Tamiko and John would often pack their car on the weekend and travel to somewhere they had never been before, she loved to shop at all the places they visited. She enjoyed gardening and her yard and flowers were pristine. She loved her two dogs Dandy and Jake. 

 Tamiko is survived by her husband, John Collop; sisters, Toshiko Endo, Kiyono Baba; five sisters-in-law; and many nieces and nephews and was loved by all. 

She was preceded in death by her parents.
