Teri Piotrowski passed away peacefully at home after a short battle with cancer on May 24, 2024. She was born in Waukegan, Illinois to Paul and Arlene (Passow) Piotrowski on October 11, 1956. In 1974 Teri graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School. Shortly after, she began her 41 year career with Abbott Laboratories in North Chicago, Illinois where she retired from in 2016. She met her longtime love, John Zorzy in 1989 with whom she spent 35 loving and adventurous years with.
Teri enjoyed caring for her grandchildren, spending time with her family and friends, camping, traveling, shopping, and most of all helping others.
She is survived by her significant other John Zorzy, her children Michelle (Marc) Harman, and Cheryl Piotrowski, grandchildren Dylan Bishop, Riley and Sophia Gonion, Vivian Harman, Zachary and Adalyn Zorzy, her siblings Robert (Ronda) Piotrowski, David Piotrowski, and Mary Ann Pell, nephews Daniel and Jonathan Pell, David (Cailin) Piotrowski and Scott (Madelene) Piotrowski, as well as great nieces and nephews and many great friends.
Teri was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Arlene Piotrowski.
In Lieu of flowers the family ask that you please donate to a charity of your choice in Teri's name.
A Celebration of Teri's Life will held on Monday June 3, 2024 from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan road, Zion, IL 60099. Entombment will be held on Tuesday June 4, 2024 10:00 a.m. at Mount Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha road, Zion, IL 60099.
