Terrace Bond

Terrace Bond was born March 11, 1960 at Great Lakes Naval Base to Vernon and Delores Bond. He was baptized in his childhood at Ebenezer M.B. Church. He passed away on January 3, 2025, at the age of 64. 

He was a loving and vibrant presence in the lives of all who knew him. With an extraordinary gift for bringing joy, laughter, and warmth wherever he went, Terrace left behind a legacy of cherished memories and unconditional love that will live on in the hearts of those he touched. 

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Delores and Vernon Bond; maternal grandparents, Lucille and Joe Martin; paternal grandparents, Lilly Henning and William (Doc) Bond; brother, Ferrell Bond; niece, Maniera Lofton and a host of other relatives that have passed on. Though they have gone before him, their love and spirit remain forever alive in our memory. 

Terrace will be deeply missed by a host of family members: siblings; Vernon Jr.(Patricia) Bond of North Chicago, IL; Denorese Bond of Toledo, OH; Corey(Jessica) Bond of Jackson, TN; Duveen Bond of Waukegan, IL; April Lofton of Zion, IL; and Dominica Byas of Waukegan, IL. He is also survived by his Aunts; Diane(Sanford) Charity of Columbus, OH; and Annie Mae Finley of Waukegan, IL; Uncle; Danny Martin (Kay Martin) of Zion, IL; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends, Dan Davis, Amy Keistad, and David Turnipseed. Terrace's infectious joy, kindness, and zest for life will forever be remembered and celebrated by all who had the privilege of knowing him. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099.
