The world lost a great light with Terry’s passing.  She radiated with kindness, joy and love.  In addition to raising Max and Alex, she always welcomed friends into her home, providing a safe space for anyone who needed or wanted one.  A hot meal was always available at Terry’s table, along with a hug and a kiss.  She was always available to listen and talk in good times and in bad.  Everyone always felt a strong sense of love and comfort after spending any amount of time with Terry.

Terry’s struggle with cancer was not easy, and as Terry’s life reached the end, the struggle got more difficult.  This was an undeserved struggle, but Terry’s strength and love never wavered.  Even amid her own battle with cancer, she continued to take care of the ones she loved to the best of her ability.  Her love, kindness and care will live on in their world through her loved ones, and the many people she connected with throughout her life.

Terry spent a majority of her professional life working in the field of Marketing.  She graduated from the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and Business.  She later received her Master of Science in Integrated Marketing Communications from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL.  She also become a Certified Associate Project Manager from the Northwestern University School of Continuing Education.  Terry began her career in multiple high achieving marketing positions at various companies around Chicago, IL.  She then opened her own marketing consulting business, Zapmore Consulting, that she ran out of her home in Wadsworth, WI for many years.  She moved onto management positions at W.W. Grainger Inc in Lake Forest, IL and CNH Industrial Capital in Racine, WI.  Terry finished off her outstanding marketing career by becoming an Adjunct Professor of Integrated Marketing Communications at Carthage College in Kenosha, WI.  She remained in this position until her passing, and she loved teaching and her students.  Watching her students learn and grow brought her much joy, and she was thrilled to be able to pass on her years of knowledge and experience.

Terry grew up in Carbondale, IL and later moved to Chicago, IL.  She raised 2 sons, Max and Alex, in Lincolnwood, IL, and once she met Mike Damko, and Max and Alex moved onto college, Terry moved in with Mike in Wadsworth, IL where they lived happily for many years hosting various family events for holidays for all of their children and grandchildren.  Later, Terry and Mike decided to move to Pleasant Prairie, WI.
