Theresa Bell

Theresa "Teri" Bell, 25, of Lake Villa, IL died on Sunday, March 16, 2008. Teri was born on October 18, 1982 in Waukegan, IL, soon after her family moved to Beach Park for her childhood years. As a teenager her family moved back to Waukegan. Throughout her childhood Teri developed a love for sports including swimming, bowling, basketball, but her passion was for BMX. As a member of the American Bicycle Association and the National Bicycle League she competed in local, regional, national and world events. She enjoyed the company of many of her BMX friends while traveling across the nation to the events. Teri married Dion K. Bell in 2002. In 2003 they were blessed with their son lil Dion. Teri was a dedicated and caring mother. Teri and her son spent many cherished moments at Waukegan BMX, which she helped establish. She along with her son on her back coached riders, taught them about bike maintenance and was a key volunteer. Teri attended Columbia College of Missouri where she completed her Associate degree. Teri was fortunate to have a job she loved at M& M Cyclery. In Teri's free time she could be found with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Dion K. Bell; parents, Randy and Cheryl (Frederick) Stockwell; siblings, Jeannette and Joe Stockwell; grandparents, Ray Stockwell, Joyce Stockwell and Jeanne Frederick; aunts and uncles, Charles "Jay" Frederick (Jo), Jeffrey Frederick, Edith May, Lynne Stockwell; and cousins, Robert May, Matthew May Michael May and Jennifer Frederick. She is preceded in death by her son, Dion K. Bell Jr., and her cousin, Charles "BJ" Frederick III; and several grandparents; and great-grandparents. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 11:00 Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 22 at Congdon Funeral Home in Zion. Interment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, March 24 at Pinview Memorial Park in Beach Park.
