Thomas Emmitt Sage, 90, born in Waukegan on February 22, 1919, passed away on February 11, 2010, following a long illness.
Thomas served in the United States Navy during World War II and he retired from Johnson Motors in Waukegan after 48 years.
He leaves to mourn his daughter, Sandra (Jerry) Larson of Winthrop Harbor; son, Thomas (Jane) Sage of Crossville, Tennessee; grandchildren, Scott Larson, Steven (Jennifer) Larson and Marsha (Douglas) Hammer; and his great-grandchildren, Samantha (Kaleb) Stewart and Dylan Larson.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (nee Derderian) Sage; his parents, George and Alice Sage; and brothers, Warren, Morris, Lyle and Marvin Sage.
Visitation will be on Monday, February 15, 2010, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A visitation will also be on Tuesday, February 16, from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home with Dr. Ronald Greene officiating, Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the United Methodist Church, 600 College Avenue, Winthrop Harbor, Illinois 60096.
