Timothy Allen Ditzig, 39, died in Colorado Springs, Colorado on October 24th 2014.
He was born March 12, 1975 in Waukegan, Illinois and grew up in Zion, Illinois. He attended Zion Benton High School up until his Senior year when he and his father Thomas moved to Benton, Arkansas after his mother Evelyn passed away. He remained in Benton until 2002 when his father Thomas passed away. He then lived in both Hilton Head, South Carolina and Jacksonville, Florida where his brothers and their families resided. He worked in the food and beverage industry which also allowed him time to enjoy his passion for music through playing his acoustic guitar and singing.
He is survived by his Sister and 5 Brothers, Debra L. (William) Blagg Jr. of Sturtevant, Wisconsin; Layne T. Ditzig of Atlantic Beach, Florida; Robert M. (Sandy) Ditzig of Beach Park, Illinois; Robert J. and Charles W. Ditzig, both of Atlantic Beach, Florida; Thomas A. (Valerie) Ditzig of Davidson, North Carolina; 8 Nieces and 6 Nephews, Tanya M. (Jay) McKnight, Teria Hoffmann and William (Kristen) Blagg III; Jeanette (Bob) Peterson, Kenneth Allen (Aimee) Dean, Lloyd L. (Alisha) Dean IV and Amanda Voight; William N. Ditzig, Britney Ditzig and Seth Knight; Ashley and Alexis Ditzig; Kyle and Megan Ditzig. 5 Great Nieces and 6 Great Nephews, Thalia and James McKnight; Mathew, Connor and Ashley Hoffmann; Ian and Alexis Peterson; Tyler and Bay Dean; Louis and Annie Dean. His Godparents Wallace (Lois) Streich.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas C. and his mother Evelyn I. Ditzig; step brothers Lloyd L. Dean III and Kenneth Dean.
Friends may call at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois on Saturday, November 15th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm followed by a service by Pastor Berry at 3:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his memory to Cory's Project, a charity organization that supports the children in the HOT unit at Children's Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.
