Timothy Morse

1952 — August 9, 2014

Timothy Howard Morse went home to be with his Lord and Savior on August 9, 2014. He was born September 17, 1952 in Waukegan, the son of J. Lowell Morse and Betty Lou Davis Morse. Timothy graduated from the College of Lake County in Grayslake, IL and Carthage College in Kenosha, WI. He spent about 20 years at Great Lakes Naval Base as a musician and contracted vendor. He was music director for Forrestal Village Chapel in Naval Housing. In addition he had played organ and piano at Zion Faith Home and Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Chicago. He ran the soup kitchen at Our Lady of Lourdes for over 15 years. Besides music, his hobbies included genealogy. He was the 12th generation from pilgrim Edward and editor for Edward O'Doty Society. Timothy is survived by two brothers Andrew Scott Morse and Todd Neal (Christine) Morse; sister-in-law Hazel Morse; 4 nieces Dana, Dawn, Celeste and Angel Morse; numerous grand-nieces and grand-nephews; and his beloved dog Lady McDuff. He was preceded in death by his parents and an older brother, David Bruce Morse. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 25, 2014 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Zion Faith Home, 2820 Eshcol Ave, Zion, IL. A memorial service will follow at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations have been suggested to the Zion Faith Home, or Our Lady of Lourdes, 4641 N. Ashland Ave, Chicago, IL 60640.
