Virginia L. Benson, 73, of Paddock Lake, WI died on Sunday, May 18, 2014 at home following a long illness. She was born August 2, 1940 in Winthrop Harbor, IL. She traveled around living in various places including the Zion area and has lived in Paddock Lake since 2007 after moving there from Neosho, MO. Survivors include her sons Donald Mark (Rita) Hewkin of Zion, IL, and David Shaun Hewkin and Duane Scott Hewkin both of Paddock Lake, WI; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two brothers Charlie (Mary) Goodwin of Zion, IL and Howard (Kathy) Goodwin of Beach Park, IL. She was preceded in death by sister Ruth Humphrey; brothers Tom Goodwin and Richard "Duke" Goodwin; and her father and mother Charles and Frances Goodwin. Visitation will be Friday, May 23, 2014, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 24th, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
