Virginia M. Calton

Virginia M. Calton (nee Burton) age 85 of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, passed April 29, 2016 at her home. Virginia is originally from Springfield. MO and spent much of her life in the Seattle (Des Moines) WA area. Virginia was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Virginia loved knitting and flower gardens and passed her tips and tricks along to many family and friends. Virginia is survived by her daughter Teresa (Paul) Hanson of Federal Way, WA; son Joe (Marilyn) Livingston of Winthrop Harbor, IL, son Greg Coones Springfield, MO and Randy (Valerie) Coones of Ephrata, WA; 12 Grand Children; 19 Great Grand Children; and several very special nieces and nephews. Her very very special K-9 companion Ladybug was the light of her life the past 10 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters; brother and many aunts/uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Wednesday May 4, 2016 from 5:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion IL with a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. A visitation will also be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Greenlawn North Funeral Home, 3506 N. National Ave, Springfield, MO, with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Greenlawn North Cemetery in Springfield, MO.
