Vivian S. Daywalt

Vivian Stella Daywalt, 91, formerly of Beach Park, Illinois passed away on August 23, 2024 in Copperas Cove, Texas surrounded by her family. 

Vivian was born on December 1, 1932 in Hardin Valley, Tennessee the daughter of Thomas Reed, and Bessie Reva (Long) Brooks. She graduated from Karns High School in Tennessee, then moved to Beach Park, Illinois where she met, and married the late Donald Lee Daywalt on April 13, 1952.

Vivian dedicated her life to caring and loving for her family. She loved to bake, sew, and garden. After her youngest son's passing, she moved to Texas to be closer to her family.

She is survived by her son, Steven ( Mia) Daywalt; grandson, John (Tori) Daywalt; and several nieces, and nephews.

Vivian is preceded in death by her husband, Donald Lee Daywalt; son Ricky Daywalt; parents, Thomas, and Bessie Brooks; and several brothers and sisters.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, Illinois 60099. Burial will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville, Illinois.
